RealToro - Lisbon residential agency

Project Overview

RealToro is a residential real estate agency in Lisbon with a deliberately short list, 24 homes for sale and to let across six neighbourhoods, and its website is built to move a visitor from browsing to a booked viewing. The homepage opens on a full-bleed misty lakeside photograph with a white timber house, the headline Fewer Homes, Known Better, a Book a viewing button, and a See all 24 homes link. Below the hero the page runs a logo strip, an About block titled We keep the list short on purpose, a Six homes worth flying in for listing feature, a Six neighbourhoods card grid, a four-step process from first message to keys, a buyer testimonial, a Before you book FAQ, a journal of three articles, a dark booking form, and a footer with visit hours and contact details. itcroc designed the hero, the neighbourhood cards, and the four-step sequence that carry a visitor from the agency’s claim to a booked viewing.

The Challenge

A boutique agency competes on trust and selectivity, not inventory, and a homepage that opens on a search bar would bury the one claim that separates RealToro from a property portal: every home is visited, measured, and photographed before it is listed. The site also serves a buyer who is often abroad, who cannot walk into an office and has to trust what
appears on screen. That buyer needs one primary action, book a viewing in person or by video, and enough proof of place and process to make that action feel low risk.

Project Goals

  • Put one filled button, Book a viewing, in the hero next to a quieter See all 24 homes text link, since one primary action and one secondary action give a visitor a clear first choice and a clear second one
  • State the selectivity claim as data in the hero, a 01 / 24 counter beside the line Every home visited before it is listed, since a number and a promise carry the agency’s difference before the first scroll.
  • Group the inventory by neighbourhood, Principe Real 5, Estrela 4, Campo de Ourique 6, Alfama 3, Graca 3, and Alcantara 3, since a buyer from abroad decides by place before deciding by property.
  • Explain the process in four numbered steps from first message to keys, since a remote buyer needs to see what happens after the viewing as well as before it.
  • Replace the Trusted by leading companies strip, which carries software-style names such as Boltshift, FocalPoint, and Acme Corp, with real estate or press names, since a placeholder-looking strip weakens the trust the rest of the page builds.

The Solution

A hero that states the filter before it states the offer
Fewer Homes, Known Better sits in a high-contrast serif over a full-bleed photograph, with a 01 / 24 counter, the line Every home visited before it is listed, and a caption reading Photographed 10:40, Soft Overcast Light. The counter and caption read as an editor’s note, so the selectivity claim is proven by detail instead of asserted by adjective.

Neighbourhood cards that add up to the inventory
Six dark photographic cards, one per neighbourhood, each carry a home count, a name, and a one-line character note such as Viewpoints, local cafes, a tram at the door. The counts sum to 24, matching the hero counter, so the browseby-place grid and the headline claim agree.

A four-step sequence for a buyer who is not in the room
Tell us what you need, View in person or by video, Offer, contract and keys, and After the keys run as numbered steps beside a photograph, so the page answers what happens next before the visitor has to ask.

One serif accent on a sans page
Section headlines pair a roman first line with an italic second line, We keep the list short on purpose and known street by street, in a high-contrast serif consistent with Instrument Serif, over a neo-grotesque sans consistent with Inter. The surfaces stay white and off-white near #F4F4F3, with a near-black near #111111 booking band and footer, so photography carries all the color on the page.
