Product dashboard design for a time-tracking SaaS platform

Orbit Time needed a marketing site whose own trust and productivity stats hold up to the same scrutiny its time-tracking product applies to a team.

Orbit Time, time-tracking software

[ 01 - OVERVIEW ]

Overview

Project Overview

Orbit Time is time-tracking and payroll software for hybrid and distributed teams, marketed through a SaaS landing page that leads with a live product demo rather than a static hero image. The homepage opens on an interactive dashboard preview showing real-time clock status and a running timer, then moves through a trust bar of adoption stats, three feature callouts, a product walkthrough panel, and a privacy-principles section addressing the surveillance concerns hybrid-work monitoring tools invite. itcroc LLC designed the stat-card system, the feature grid, and the privacy section that let a monitoring product make its trust case directly.

Problem

The Challenge

A time-tracking product’s entire pitch is that its numbers are trustworthy, so its own marketing page can’t afford inconsistent ones. The trust bar claims 112,000-plus businesses use Orbit Time, directly above a stat block showing 10M-plus Total Subscriptions and 300K-plus Paid Subscribers, ratios that don’t obviously reconcile with a claimed customer base that size. The Company Overview preview compounds this: Total Hours Tracked and Active Projects both pair a value with a clearly separated trend badge, 1,248h +12%, 24 Same, but Productivity Score displays as 87+, leaving it unclear whether the plus sign is part of the score or a second, redundant trend mark duplicating the +4% pill beside it.

Direction

Project Goals

  • Reconcile the 112,000+ businesses trust claim with the 10M+ Total Subscriptions and 300K+ Paid Subscribers stats directly below it, since a monitoring product’s credibility depends on its own numbers holding together.
  • Format the Productivity Score card to match its neighbors, value and trend badge visually separated, the way Total Hours Tracked and Active Projects already do, so 87+ doesn’t read as an unexplained second trend mark.
  • Rewrite “privacy-1st” as “privacy-first” in the guiding-principles headline, since the numeral shortcut breaks from the formal tone used in the paragraph directly beneath it.
  • Standardize trailing punctuation across the Paid Subscribers, Daily Engagement, Total Subscriptions, and Active Support labels, so parallel stats don’t carry different punctuation.
  • Keep the live dashboard preview as the hero’s centerpiece instead of a lifestyle photo, since showing the actual product is what makes a start-free claim credible before signup.

The Solution

The product is the hero image

Company Overview, a live dashboard card with real stat cards and a chart, sits inside the hero instead of a photo or illustration, so a visitor evaluates the actual interface before they’ve scrolled past the headline.

Color-coded alerts inside a monochrome palette

The Activity Alerts panel breaks from Orbit Time’s olive-and-cream palette only for status, red for Low Activity Detected, amber for Overtime Threshold Reached, green for Timesheet Approved, so urgency reads at a glance without the rest of the page competing for attention.

Toggle-based privacy settings instead of a policy paragraph

Blur Screenshots, Track App & URL Usage, and Keystroke Tracking are shown as literal on/off switches a user could flip, giving the privacy-first claim a concrete interface instead of only a policy statement.

One feature, one screenshot, one metric

Master Time Management, Automate Team Operations, and Streamline Payments each pair a short claim with a single supporting product screenshot, Weekly Schedule, Activity Alerts, Payroll Approval, so every feature claim has one piece of visible evidence instead of a paragraph of adjectives.
