Editorial portfolio design for an interior design studio

Athelier, an interior design studio, needed a portfolio site that reads as considered as the timeless residential and commercial spaces it designs.

[ 01 - OVERVIEW ]

Overview

Project Overview

Solace is an independent watch brand built against the industry’s usual heritage story: instead of claiming a founding date from a century it never saw, the brand offers a small, numbered batch of mechanically transparent watches. The site needed to prove craft and material quality without leaning on borrowed history, and to move a skeptical, high-ticket buyer from browsing three references toward booking a private viewing rather than a blind purchase. itcroc LLC designed a site structured around visible proof: hand-finishing, an open movement, and real specifications

[ 02 - PROBLEM ]

Problem

The Challenge

An interior studio’s website is judged by the same eye that judges its rooms, so a cluttered or
generic layout undercuts the work before a visitor reaches a single project photo. The
homepage had to hold a striking hero visual, five distinct services, a portfolio carousel, client
testimonials, and a journal, without any one section crowding the next. It also had to move a
visitor from admiring the imagery to starting an actual project conversation, which a purely
visual portfolio site often fails to do.

Direction

Project Goals

• Give the hero one striking visual moment that signals design ambition before any copy is
read.
• List services as five distinct, numbered offerings, so a prospective client can identify their
exact need in one scroll.
• Show real project photography in a browsable format, not a flat scrolling gallery, so the
portfolio itself demonstrates range.
• Pair every case for hiring with a rated client quote, so credibility sits next to the ambition
claim.
• Route every path, hero, services, portfolio, testimonials, back to one project-start CTA
instead of leaving the decision to the visitor.

The Solution

One sculptural hero, not a slideshow
A single dramatic architectural render carries the hero, framed by the word Elevating and small
supporting interior shots, so the studio’s design ambition registers before a visitor reads a line
of copy.

Five numbered services, not a wall of text
Residential Design, Space Planning, Furniture Selection, Luxury Renovation, and Commercial
Interiors are each reduced to a title, a one-line scope, and a number, so a prospective client can place their own project in seconds.

A rated, named testimonial block
Client quotes carry a name, a role, and a star rating rather than an anonymous pull quote, so
the credibility claim matches the specificity of the studio’s own project photography.

One CTA repeated, not competing links
Start a Project sits as the closing action across hero, footer, and portfolio, so the many entry
points into the site, projects, services, journal, all end at the same next step instead of
scattering the visitor’s decision
